Caring About Our CO2 Footprint

Supporting "Drevo za Cerje"

At the end of each season, we’ll tally up all the donations made through your tree planting support and contribute the collected funds to a project close to our hearts: Drevo za Cerje ("A Tree for the Town of Cerje"). This initiative is dedicated to restoring the forests in the Carst region of southwest Slovenia, which were ravaged by a devastating wildfire in August 2019.

The fire destroyed large swathes of forest, including native trees that had long been a symbol of the area’s natural beauty. However, amid the devastation, a miracle occurred—the "Pomnik Miru" (Monument of Peace), a beautiful landmark symbolizing peace, friendship, and tolerance, stood untouched.

Rebuilding What Was Lost

Your contributions to Drevo za Cerje not only help in ecological restoration, but they also carry a profound historical and symbolic meaning.
