Triglav National Park and a little bit of Austria

We had the pleasure of driving Cockta and Valter for about 9 days. Originally we had planned an ambitious schedule through Slovenia and Austria, but decided to change our plans by cutting out lots of places and driving, which was by far the best decision we made on this trip. Picking up the keys and getting the van all went seamlessly; we were quickly on the road in our new home for the next 9 days. At first, driving the old manual van took some getting used to but luckily we weren’t going far.

Lake Bled

Lake Bohinj

Straight away we were amazed at the landscape of Slovenia, it just kept getting better and better.

We had the most relaxing days chilling out, swimming and hiking at an awesome campsite next to lake Weissensee, Austria. The vans were incredibly comfortable and we slept like babies each night. We had a few minor problems with Cockta, and Ziga unexpectedly came to swap vans with us all the way in Austria. We were surprised to see him and were really grateful that he made the effort to come. Thanks Ziga!

Lake Jasna - We could have spent a week here alone. It was so much fun warming up in the sun and then jumping off the structures into the refreshing water to cool off!

We spent the last few days in Triglav national park and loved spending time together in and near the beautiful Soca river! What an experience it was repeatedly leaping off the cliffs into the river and floating down to an easy exit! We were blown away at the amazing scenery.

We had an amazing time and would have loved spending longer exploring this beautiful country in Cockta/Valter. This trip ended far too soon and left us wanting more! Thank you Balkan Campers! :)
